EC 90 Electrolyte Analyzer

Erba EC 90 is a next-generation fully automated electrolyte analyzer designed to deliver fast, accurate, and reliable electrolyte measurements for modern clinical laboratories. Utilizing advanced direct ISE (Ion Selective Electrode) technology with a solid-state biosensor cartridge, the system ensures precise analysis of sodium (Na+), potassium (K+), chloride (Cl-) and ionized calcium (iCa2+).

The analyzer is built around an innovative “all-in-one” cartridge concept, integrating reagents, biosensors, and fluidics into a single unit. This design simplifies operation, reduces maintenance, and enables plug-and-play functionality, making it suitable for laboratories of all sizes. The cartridges maintain performance for up to 90 days and are available in multiple capacities to match laboratory workload.

With a low sample volume of approximately 35 µL and a rapid analysis time of around 35 seconds, EC 90 significantly improves turnaround time while minimizing reagent consumption. The system features automatic calibration (1-point and 2-point), integrated reference sensors, and a fully functional quality control module with Levey-Jennings and Westgard rules to ensure analytical reliability and consistency.

The EC 90 is designed for ease of use with a large touchscreen interface, intuitive software, and seamless connectivity options including USB, LAN, and RS232. Its maintenance-free operation, self-contained waste system, and compact footprint make it a highly efficient and cost-effective solution for electrolyte analysis in clinical laboratories.
