Laura XL Fully Automatic Urine Analyzer

Erba LAURA XL is a fully automated urine analyzer designed to streamline urinalysis workflows in medium to large laboratories. It integrates two analytical modules into a single system: one for chemical analysis using urine test strips and another for sediment examination using automated digital microscopy.

The system performs complete urine analysis automatically, including homogenization, dispensing, strip reading, sedimentation, and result evaluation. This eliminates manual intervention and reduces the need for traditional microscopy, improving efficiency and diagnostic consistency.

LAURA XL supports analysis of up to 125–160 samples per hour and requires only a small sample volume of approximately 0.9 mL, making it suitable even for pediatric and low-volume samples. It provides comprehensive output including up to 10–11 chemical parameters and automated classification of sediment particles into multiple categories.

The analyzer features an intuitive user interface, LIS connectivity, automatic maintenance functions, and advanced environmental protection systems such as humidity control. Its ability to generate high-resolution digital images for sediment analysis enhances diagnostic accuracy and reduces manual workload, making it a powerful solution for modern laboratories.
